Gentileschi Baroque Ensemble is a dynamic period instrument ensemble dedicated to uncovering and performing the extraordinary music of women composers from the Baroque era. With a mission to bring these often-overlooked voices to the forefront, the ensemble combines scholarly insight with vibrant, historically informed performance.

Featuring acclaimed early music specialists including Cristina Prats-Costa, Julia Wedman, Charlotte Nediger, Michael Unterman, Lucas Harris, and Jonathan Stuchbery, Gentileschi Baroque creates compelling and richly textured interpretations that honor the artistry and innovation of Baroque women composers.

The ensemble has already appeared at respected early music series such as COSE Festival and Hammer Baroque, earning praise for their passionate performances and thoughtful programming. With a name inspired by the powerful legacy of painter Artemisia Gentileschi, the ensemble shares a bold artistic vision: to illuminate the creative genius of women who shaped the musical world of their time—and to reimagine how we hear the Baroque today.
